The AWD Eagle Talon is a high-performance sports car produced by the Diamond-Star Motors joint venture between Mitsubishi Motors and Chrysler Corporation from 1990 to 1998. The Eagle Talon is mechanically identical to the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Plymouth Laser, which were also produced by this joint venture. The AWD Eagle Talon came equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive system, and advanced suspension and braking technologies designed to provide maximum handling and performance. The Talon achieved considerable success in the sport compact racing scene, including a win in the 1991 East African Safari Rally. Despite its many accolades, the Talon was discontinued along with the rest of the Diamond-Star Motors line of vehicles in 1998 due to changing market conditions and economic considerations. Today, the AWD Eagle Talon remains a popular choice among car enthusiasts and collectors, prized for its performance, reliability, and heritage.
